This on-going comprehensive cover is designed to help maintain your new system, giving you both peace of mind out lasting even the manufacturer’s warranty and ensuring your system is running as well as it did on day one.

This package also includes the necessary annual service required to continue to qualify for the Renewable Heat Incentive payments.

Solar Thermal:

The cover will include the following maintenance:

• Checking system pressures and flow rates
• Checking all hydraulic and electrical connections
• Check functionality and performance
• Taking fluid sample and spending to test laboratory for analysis
• Priority call out to any fault reported on the system

Biomass Boilers:

The cover will include the following maintenance:

• Complete strip down and clean out of the boiler
• Sweep of the flue
• Check and clean all filters
• Check all hydraulic and electrical connections
• Replace ignition element
• Check functionality and burn performance
• Priority call out to any fault reported on the system

• For Biomass systems there are sometimes components that will fail and need replacing, these items are an additional charge when required.

Air and Ground Source Heat Pumps:

The cover will include the following maintenance:

• Checking system pressures and flow rates
• Check all filters
• Check all hydraulic and electrical connections
• Check functionality and performance
• Taking fluid sample and sending to test laboratory for analysis
• Sending service report to manufacturer to maintain warranty
• Completing service on DHW cylinder to maintain manufacturer’s warranty
• Priority call out to any fault reported on the system

MVHR Systems:

The cover will include the following maintenance:

• Complete strip down and clean out of the main MVHR unit
• Check and clean all filters
• Check all hydraulic & electrical connections
• Check settings and sensor functions
• Check functionality
• Priority call out to any fault reported

Solar PV:

Most PV systems installed by EnergyZone are using the SolarEdge inverter system which not only has a much longer warranty than other systems but also the ability to monitor down to panel level. We do not recommend that you need a regular service on these systems.

For other PV systems or ones installed by other engineers there is still little point in regular service provided you keep an eye on your generation meter periodically to check the system is running. There is no preventive maintenance that you can complete on your PV system that will extend its life and unfortunately there are many bogus companies trying to sell solar PV check-ups where they come and look at a system, claim it is unsafe and then try to sell you an expensive unnecessary fix.

We have had regular reports of such approaches and would strongly recommend clients to ignore salesmen with this type of approach.
